ID 302 Slewed Weave Standard Border with Woven Pull Handle

Slewed weave uses several rods of willow at the same time to create a checkerboard pattern which can be continued up to any height making it ideal for weaving tall baskets.  ID 302 has a woven pull handle instead of fingerholes, but if the baskets are going to be made to work hard, fingerholes are probably longer lasting.

This style of weave and border works well for kitchen or utility room baskets and log baskets.  Strong and durable – ideal for everyday use around the house.

We recommend either all buff or buff in combination with one of the other colours for kitchen and utility baskets because buff willow is hard-wearing and creates a strong durable structure to the basket.  The willow colours page gives more information on the natural colours available, how they are produced and their properties.
